A pet shop near St George Cross in Glasgow has launched a drive to give warm coats and collars to homeless dogs in the run-up to Christmas.
Instead of holding a Black Friday sale this year, Just Nuisance decided to turn its focus on helping needy pups in the community, Glasgow Live reports.
The store invited customers to donate collars, leads and winter coats to the shop’s gift basket in return for 20% off on ‘Black Friday’. Then homeless pooches and their owners can drop into the shop and receive a hot drink and essential doggy items, such as coats and leads.
Posting on Instagram, the store wrote: “Our Christmas gift this year is to help make sure as many less-fortunate dogs as possible can have a good fitting collar, sturdy lead and warm winter coat.”
The offer runs until today (Thursday, December 12).
