Oven-baked dog food brand Laughing Dog has launched a nationwide knitting challenge to help raise funds for Guide Dogs.
The company has set a fundraising target of £5,000 by the end of the year, with several events for staff and customers to get involved with throughout 2019.
First up is the knitting challenge, developed by Lynn Peak and Sue Adams, from the bakery team.
Lynn said: “Using double knit wool to create multiple six-inch squares in various different colours, our mission is to create an enormous blanket, which can be divided into lots of smaller dog blankets. Some will be donated to the charity, while the rest will be auctioned off to raise money.”
Dave Bloor, from the charity, said: “At Guide Dogs, we want everyone who experiences sight loss to live a full and rewarding life and this partnership will make a vital contribution to our work.”
