A Staffie that was rescued by the RSPCA has been rehomed and has befriended her new family’s pet lizard.
Skye weighed just 4.5kg when RSPCA officers took her to the Woodside Animal Centre in Leicester.
It took months of special care and rehabilitation to get Skye back to full health but eventually, Hayley Wessier took her home.
She settled in very quickly – making best friends with the family’s pet lizard, a blue tongue skink.
Hayley said: “She likes to follow my lizard, George, around and they can be found sunbathing together in the garden in the summer.
“She seems very happy and I like to think she has a pretty good life now. I can’t imagine our lives without her.”
