Chicken Wire supplier Wire Fence will give away 100% of its profits made on Wednesday next week (May 4) to a chicken welfare charity.
May 4 is International Respect for Chickens Day and charities have the opportunity to be the beneficiary of the initiative by sharing Wire Fence’s Facebook post about the event. The organisation that gets the most likes by May 4 will be receive the donation.
Launched by United Poultry Concerns in 2005, International Respect For Chicken Day aims to raise awareness of chicken welfare and agricultural poultry conditions. The event is celebrated every year on May 4, with activity running throughout the month of May.
This is the second year Wire Fence has taken part in the initiative. The company supports a different organisation each month by organising a fundraising event.
