Contract manufacturer Procemsa Group has entered the pet care with a range of dietary supplements and cosmetics.
The range includes probiotics for cats, dog vitamins, joint support food supplements, mood-regulation sticks and cosmetics such as shampoo and products for fur.
Manufactured in a range of formats such as tablets, gummies and sticks, the non-GMO supplements are available in a selection of flavours, including liver, meat and mixed fish. The supplements are designed to help tackle issues with teeth and gums, joints, skin and coat and gut health, while the cleansing bases of shampoos use a balanced system of vegetable surfactants, designed for optimal but delicate cleansing.
Procemsa Group comprises three companies – Farmaceutici Procemsa, OFI, and Aakamp. Together, the business boasts over 150 years of experience developing and manufacturing food supplements, cosmetics and medical devices.
Robert Walker, chief revenue officer at Procemsa Group, said: “As a leader in nutraceuticals, diversification into pet products was the natural next step for the business.
“Much like people, variety is the key to a healthy diet for dogs and cats and adding a vitamin and mineral supplement is a fantastic way to ensure extra nutrients are absorbed to keep a four-legged friend healthy.
“At Procemsa Group we pride ourselves on a forward-thinking approach to research and development, anticipating demands before there’s a need and our evolution into pet supplements is just one example of that.”
