Peregrine Livefoods has created a new range of five nutritionally-complete, fruit-based foods for crested geckos under the Blue River Diets brand.
Crested geckos are found only in a handful of regions and islets on the remote Pacific island of New Caledonia but are quickly becoming among the most popular pet lizards kept in the UK. Predominantly frugivorous, the lizards spend most of the year feeding on over-ripe fruit, and this diet has been recreated by Blue River Diets with its selection of 100% natural tropical fruit flavours. The brand is named after the Blue River Provincial Park where the crested gecko was re-discovered in 1994 after previously being thought extinct.
The range comprises Mango Madness, Peach Paradise, Pineapple Crush and Watermelon Burst varieties, plus Fruit & Bug, which also includes black soldier fly larvae.
Supplied as a dried formula, the food becomes a fruity paste by adding water and stirring. All products are manufactured in the UK and supplied exclusively by Peregrine Livefoods.
