Kennelpak has signed a new partnership with charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People through its natural dog treat brand Yakers.
Over the two-year collaboration, every purchase of Yakers will support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, helping fund the training, enrichment and placement of assistance dogs that empower deaf individuals to lead more independent lives. The natural occupier treats are already used by the charity while the dogs are in training.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People provides specially trained dogs to alert deaf individuals to important sounds and enhance their overall quality of life. David Robson, spokesman for the charity, said: “Yakers Chews are a great treat for hearing dogs in training, we use them daily to help keep the dogs in training mentally stimulated during their down time.”
Kennelpak colleagues will also be undertaking a number of fundraising activities in the coming year, including events held in the company’s retail arm Pets & Friends.
Kennelpak customer director Claire Clough added: “Yakers is a brand with purpose, making it the ideal choice for Kennelpak when it came to partnering with Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
“Our shared values of compassion and community engagement align seamlessly, and we look forward to making a real difference together.”
