Pet food supplier Fish4Pets has made a donation of nearly two tonnes of its premium dog food Fish4Dogs to a local rescue centre.
The food was delivered to Birmingham Dogs Home on Valentine’s Day. Since the start of the year, the charity has taken in over 185 dogs, and feeding one dog for a day costs £3.
Fish4Pets has been supporting Birmingham Dogs Home for a number of years, explained Fish4Dogs marketing & brand communications manager Carly Baker. She said: “Our company was founded in Worcestershire and we share a history and heritage with this lovely charity that has been serving the community where we live and work for generations.
“As our food and treats contain Omega 3 and fish oils, our products can help reduce inflammation and hydrate skin. We are passionate about helping Birmingham Dogs Home as part of our corporate social responsibility, giving back to dogs that need our support the most.”
Fi Harrison, Birmingham Dogs Home’s head of fundraising & communications, added: “We can’t thank Fish4Dogs enough for their continued support and generosity.
“It is so rewarding to see the transformation in our dogs as their health improves and they become full of energy with the right food. We will have lots of empty bowls, wagging tails and healthy pooches for the next few weeks thanks to the Fish4Dogs Team.”
