The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) has announced details of the programme of talks and workshops for its 2024 Business of Pets conference.
The Business of Pets is designed to help pet businesses take that step to the next level. It will take place over two days on June 5–6 at the Cranfield Management Development Centre near Milton Keynes and will focus on the themes of innovation, money and marketing.
The programme will cover topics such as how to pitch successfully, risk areas for investors and lenders, brand building, navigating the range of marketing techniques and trends in pet ownership. Delegates will hear from speakers who are experts in their area and from pet businesses who have successfully taken the leap to the next step and who will be sharing their experiences. There will also be the opportunity to attend workshops and clinics.
The conference will also feature the Innovation of the Year Award, whereby 10 businesses will present their pet trade innovations, with a winner chosen on the final day of the event. An evening social BBQ will take place after the first day.
PIF ceo Nigel Baker said: “Following the success of last year’s event, we have worked hard to create a fantastic and insightful programme which will prove invaluable for the business owners, directors and decision makers who attend.
“I would also encourage all pet business innovators to enter the Innovation of the Year Award – the deadline for which is April 25, 2024. The 10 finalists will have a unique opportunity to pitch to potential investors during the two-day Business of Pets conference.”
Card payment provider Worldpay has been named as the headline sponsor for the event.
