Supplier Brambles Pet and Wildlife is advising retailers to stock up on hedgehog food ahead of next month’s Hedgehog Awareness Week (HAW).
The event takes place on May 4-10, driven by content on social media channels.
Brambles sales manager David Tracey said: “We’re getting ready for a bumper week of activity on Social Media during HAW where we’ll be giving away over £1,000 worth of wildlife food and associated products for Wildlife Rescues in our popular giveaways.
“There’s always a huge increase in demand for our food during this period so we recommend retailers ordering much more of our hedgehog food than normal in time for HAW.”
Brambles was acquired by its manufacturing partner Fold Hill Foods last month.
