Ornamental Fish International has elected two new members to its Board of Advisors members at its Annual General Meeting.
The AGM was held at Aquarama 2019, which took place in Guangzhou.
Yannick Verry (above) is one of the organisers of Aquarama and works at VNU Exhibitions Asia, the owner of Aquarama.
An OFI statement said: “He has a wealth of experience in the trade show industry and his work with Aquarama and PetFair in China have given him a wide networks of contacts within the industry in China and around the world. It is hoped that his experience and network will help OFI develop its influence and role within the Chinese industry.”
The second new member is Ran Epsteen (above), from Colors, in Israel. The statement said: “Ran is a well-respected ornamental fish producer and exporter from Israel with a wealth of knowledge and experience in intensive production of fish in biosecure facilities.”
OFI president Shane Willis said he hoped the new members ‘will help the board to develop greater links into China and improve biosecurity in the industry’.
Existing board members Sandy Moore of Segrest, the USA, and Deepak Nopany, from Asian Exports, India, were both re-elected to the board, while Danny Benjamin and Marc Seguinot stepped down as they are retiring.
