Members of the King British Team have been lending a hand at The National Turtle Sanctuary, helping to create a new pond for the inhabitants.
Currently home to over 150 turtles of varying species, the number of resident turtles has continued to grow during lockdown, fuelling the sanctuary’s need to create further ponds. The King British Team volunteered to lend a hand as part of the #DonateADay scheme run by parent company Beaphar UK, which allows employees to donate their time during working hours to pet-related charities and organisations.
Andy Ferguson, herpetologist at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park & The National Turtle Sanctuary, said: ‘The team from King British were fabulous. They helped me create our largest training pond of over 7m x 6m. The team’s efforts have saved the sanctuary hundreds of pounds in labour for which we are extremely grateful.
The partnership between the National Turtle Sanctuary and King British started following discussions in 2019.
