Thousands of dogs experienced their ‘best day ever’ at the first Dogstival.
The event, sponsored by pet insurance comparison website Go Get it, was held celebrated dogs in the surroundings of the Pylewell Park Estate in Lymington, Hampshire last weekend.
Activities included the Aces High Flyball Team and the Little Nippers Terrier and Lurcher Show. Also, the Rockwood Display Team saw dogs scale an 80ft ramp to leap through fire squares.
Owners of ‘problematic’ pets were offered advice and tips at the Dog House Behavioural Stage, where experts explored typical issues that happen within the home such as separation anxiety, and expert advice on dog health was provided by TV’s Vet on the Hill Dr Scott Miller.
Among the brands exhibiting at Dogstival was German eco-friendly pet food Josera.
Simon Freear, director of Pet Footprint, which imports Josera, said: “The first Dogstival was a perfect place to talk to consumers who are genuinely interested in the best food choices for their dogs. We had strong interest in sustainability, as consumers become more aware of their pets’ environmental footprint. That was great for us as our low daily feed rations and healthy digestion formulas tick all the sustainability boxes.”
Dogstival founders Domine and Richard Nowell said: “We are absolutely delighted with our first ever Dogstival event. It was a fantastic turnout of lovely, well-behaved dogs and the event itself exceeded all our expectations…We look forward to planning Dogstival 2020.”
