Cats Protection is calling on cat owners nationwide to nominate their furry friends for this year’s National Cat Awards.
The awards, sponsored by Purina, have celebrated the difference cats make to owners’ lives for more than a decade by highlighting stories of devotion, companionship and courage.
Entries are open until noon on March 8 to nominate cats for one of five categories:

> . . . . . Most Caring Cat
> . . . . . Furr-ever Friends
> . . . . . Outstanding Rescue Cat
> . . . . . Purina Better Together.
A panel of celebrity cat-lovers will select the winners. The winning cats’ owners will be presented with their trophies at a ceremony at London’s Savoy Hotel on August 8 – coinciding with International Cat Day.
