Television celebrity Anthea Turner is hosting the Naturo Repaw Room, a one-day event in central London tomorrow afternoon (November 5), where dog owners will have their most loved, dog-chewed items ‘brought back to life’ by a team of experts.
Every year, dogs cost the nation £1.7bn in home damages so with that in mind, natural pet food brand Naturo will be stepping in to help repair some common items mischievous pups are known to destroy such as socks and slippers, soft furnishings and items of clothing.
Former Blue Peter presenter Anthea Turner and her dog, Soho, will be mooching and pooching with guests at the Oxford Street event and getting involved with some repairs of her own.
Dog owners across the country will be able to enter a competition via the Naturo website to be in with a chance to win a spot at the Repaw Room to have a chewed-up item repaired.
Members of the public will also be free to drop in to the Repaw Room, with a host of activities taking place throughout the day. As well as repairs from a team of experts, the central London space will also offer plenty for dogs – and owners – to have a fun-filled day out. There will be photo opportunities, a watering hole for thirsty dogs, and Naturo freebies.
Dog behaviourist, and television personality Leon Towers – best known for his appearance on Channel 4’s ‘Embarrassing Pets’ – will also be on hand during the day to offer advice on how to manage destructive behaviour.
