The companion Animal Nutrition (CAN) Conference – run in partnership with the Pet Food Manufacturers Association and the University of Northampton – will return in Northamptonshire on Thursday, February 13.
The event brings together researchers, industry professionals and students to discuss a range of topics, including nutrient requirements, diet formulation, feed production, feeding practices, feeding behaviour and enrichment and feed related health issues in pets.
The theme for the conference will be ‘Feeding for Behavioural Enrichment’, with a keynote address by Dr Sandra Mccune in the morning, and a panel discussion in the afternoon.
Sarah Hormozi, PFMA science & education manager, said: “CAN Conference is unique because it emphasises all aspects of feeding and nutrition in companion animals only.
“Our 2016 CAN Conference was a real success with research presented on several species of small mammals, fish and exotic pets as well as cats and dogs. We look forward to seeing the latest science in pet nutrition at the CAN Conference 2020.”
Online registration is now open, with an early bird fee of £55 per person if registered by December 20 or £80 after that date.
