The Pet Industry Federation, the UK trade association for pet businesses, has today released its schedule of main events for 2021.
Dates for pet businesses to put in their diaries include:
> Virtual Petindex – March 16-30. Following two virtual pet trade shows earlier this year, a third event will take place over two weeks in March to provide a platform for exhibitors and visitors to meet virtually. It will be accompanied by a line-up of webinars to help industry specialists develop their knowledge in areas relevant to their business. To find out more, to book a stand and to register to attend Virtual Petindex, visit www.petindexshow.com
> Pet Industry Federation Awards – June 24, Whittlebury Hall, Towcester, Northamptonshire. The PIF Awards dinner is a big night in the pet industry calendar but with restrictions forcing this year’s event online, there’s even more of a reason to get together and celebrate the achievements of the pet industry in 2021. Details of how to enter the Awards will be announced early in the New Year.
> Pawexpo – September 14-16, NEC Birmingham. PIF says it is delighted to be supporting the organisers of GLEE Pawexpo next year.
Nigel Baker, PIF CEO, said: “In the face of huge disruption to the pet industry this year caused by the covid-19 restrictions and the cancellation of a number of major events, including our own Petindex and PIF Awards, we are excited about the opportunities that 2021 bring and look forward to engaging with as many pet businesses and professionals from the UK and abroad to give our industry a much-needed boost after the unprecedented challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.’
