Meripac has launched an adjustable window mounted bird feeder that allows owners to choose the maximum size of bird that can reach the seeds inside.
The company’s Window Bird Feeder includes a pigeon guard, a metal cage with adjustable size openings which fits onto the seed tray. The gaps in the front of the cage can be adjusted between 28mm and 58mm using the company’s patented double-mesh system, enabling the owner to choose or to change which breeds of birds have access to the seeds.
A mesh gap of 32mm allows access only for smaller birds such as tits, wrens, finches, robins, sparrows and nuthatches; 40mm mesh gaps welcome redstarts; while 45mm mesh gaps allow access for starlings and blackbirds. Pigeons, seagulls, magpies and jackdaws would require a gap of 60mm or more to enter.
The gaps in the sides of the cage are fixed at 34mm.
Meripac wild bird care products are made in Britain.
