Cat food brand Catit is using the occasion of Earth Month this April to showcase the sustainable credentials of its packaging.
Wet food range Catit Cuisine was recently migrated into Tetra Pak cartons, considered to be a better packaging option for the environment compared to traditional pouches. Made of 70% renewable FSC-certified paperboard, Tetra Recart boxes are recyclable and have a lower carbon footprint than many other types of packaging. Each pack contains up to 25% more than the average cat food pouch or can and can be resealed to store in the fridge overnight.
In addition, the Catit Recipes dry food range uses recyclable packaging. Prepared at a climate-neutral facility, the cat kibble is supplied in recyclable packaging made of LDPE4.
Catit UK marketing manager Paul Trott said: “During this Earth Month and beyond, Catit are keen to showcase the planet-friendly production and packaging options we have introduced to help save the planet one pawprint at a time.”
