An innovative dental product for cats that attracted backing on TV’s Dragon’s Den will be made available to the retail trade for the first time at the PATS show in September/October.
The product features a dental wand attached to a telescopic rod which, through interactive play, encourages the cat to capture it in their mouth as they would their prey. When the cat bites down on the dental wand, toothpaste bursts through the holes covering the surfaces of the teeth while the bristles bend and snap, disrupting the bacteria in the cat’s teeth.
The Starter Kit, retailing at £26.99, includes the Dental Wand, enzymatic toothpaste, telescopic rod, worm toy, and catnip.
Inventor Cat director Victor Carpio said: “We are pioneers in the rise of health toys, producing the only true cat-friendly toothbrush on the market, and we cannot wait to show everyone our products.”
The PATS show runs from Sunday September 29 until Tuesday October 1 at the Telford International Centre. Inventor Cat will be exhibiting in the New Starter Zone, where retailers ordering the product can claim a 15% discount on orders over £200. The company has also been nominated in six categories in the PetQuip awards, announced at an evening event during the PATS show.
