Premium pet food brand Lily’s Kitchen is today launching a new cat food range refelcting ‘the discerning tastes and quirky personality of Rebel Cats everywhere’.
The range focuses on palatability and texture and includes new Tasty Cuts in Gravy and Shredded Fillets alongside two new treat options – all made with real meat and fish.
A recent study by the University of Exeter found that feeding cats a diet high in meat protein, which is used in Lily’s Kitchen recipes, reduced the amount of prey cats brought home by 36%, suggesting that pet owners should opt for the real thing when it comes to dinnertime.
With this in mind, the new Lily’s Kitchen Tasty Cuts in Gravy range is made with chunky cuts of meat soaked in a gravy. The Tasty Cuts range includes Chicken, Ocean Fish, Beef and Chicken & Salmon.
Shredded Fillets includes Chicken with Mussels, Tuna with Salmon, Chicken with Ham, and Simply Chicken. The grain-free recipes are a completely meal.
The packaging incorporates the new Lily’s Kitchen Rebel Cat characters with block colouring, giving the range a contemporary feel for shelf appeal. The 100% fully recyclable tin packaging demonstrates a commitment from one of the founding UK B Corp companies to ‘tread lightly on the planet’ and preserve it for future generations.
David Milner, CEO of Lily’s Kitchen, said: “Our purpose and priority at Lily’s Kitchen is to provide pet parents with high quality, natural food that encourages cats to be their individual – sometimes rebellious – selves.
“Our new wet cat food range offers nutritionally complete recipes made with proper meat in a choice of textures that we know cats love – and without any added sugar in sight. So even though we know cats don’t always make sense, choosing Lily’s Kitchen does.”
