Dorwest Herbs has launched new cognitive support supplement.
BrainCopa is formulated to help keep pets’ minds agile by promoting normal brain and mental function, particularly older pets experiencing cognitive decline. The natural ingredients, including the antioxidants such as bacopa, omega-3 fatty acid Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) powder, and calming herb lemon balm, aim to support senior dogs, enabling them to better cope with the changes associated with ageing such as disorientation, restlessness, altered behaviour and sleep, and house-soiling.
The product is supplied in tablet form, in pots of 100, 200 or 500, and can be given as a whole tablet or crushed. RRPs start from £19.90.
A trial with 21 participants across a variety of breeds and ages, all with dogs needing different levels of cognitive support, took place earlier this year. Participants were surveyed on their dog’s symptoms before, and given a second survey on completion of the trial 28 days later. Improvements were seen by 43% of participants within three weeks of starting the tablets at the recommended daily dose, with 90% of participants seeing improvements within the recommended four weeks, claims Dorwest.
