Insect protein pet food manufacturer Mr Bug has launched its first dog food.
The company, which already markets a range of ‘Bug Bite’ treats and a superfood seasoning shaker, has expanded its range with a complete dry food made from mealworms farmed in Devon.
Made with 20% Devon mealworm protein, the superfood-based recipe is grain-free, hypoallergenic and contains all natural ingredients.
Mr Bug founder Conal Cunningham said: “The planet is crying out for humankind to broaden its food horizons and embrace nutritious insects to initiate a seismic protein transition.”
The RRP is £14.99 for a 1.5kg bag. Mr Bug is available through James & Steel.
