Natural pet food firm Mackle Petfoods has unveiled a refresh of its popular Naturo brand.
Since its launch on 2010, Naturo has grown to become the UK’s number one natural wet pet food (IRI Grocer Retail 12/23), a position it has held for the past seven years. It currently ranks among the top four wet pet food brands nationwide, with annual global sales worth £30 million.
The rebranding initiative comes alongside the introduction of several new ranges for dogs and cats across all life stages. Composed by Naturo’s pet nutritionists, the recipes are free of added artificial flavourings, colours, or additives.
Eva Mooney, senior marketing manager at Mackle Petfoods, explains: “Over the span of nine months, while refreshing the brand, the emphasis has consistently remained focused on maintaining the exceptional quality of Naturo pet food.
“Collaborating with in-house nutritionists, the recipes have been enhanced to further elevate the nutritional profile. These improvements include heightened meat content in select ranges and the incorporation of ingredients such as yucca and prebiotics to promote gut health. The rebranding campaign serves as an educational opportunity, empowering customers to make informed choices regarding their pets’ nutritional needs and showcasing how Naturo’s delectable and nutritious offerings address these requirements.”
