Boehringer Ingelheim has expanded the Frontline animal health range with a worming tablet, available in formulations for dogs and cats.
Frontline Wormer is designed to protect pets against all types of common intestinal worms in a single product – killing roundworms and tapeworms in cats and dogs, plus hookworms and whipworms in dogs.
Frontline Wormer is available in packs of two tablets for three pet sizes – for small/medium dogs; for medium/large dogs; and for cats. Tablets are flavoured so they can be given as a treat without food or mixed with food.
As an AVM-GSL-licensed product, it can be sold off the shelf.
Geoffrey Guyot, brand manager at Frontline, said: “Cats and dogs can easily pick up worms from infected soil, or while grooming and hunting, and gaps in treatment give a worm problem a chance to build and spread. Worms can affect humans too, causing ill health and even blindness, so regular treatment with Frontline Wormer is important to help keep pets and the rest of the family healthy.
“It’s part of our commitment to bringing pet parents effective parasite protection that they can conveniently access and choose with confidence.”
Frontline Wormer Tablets for Dogs and XL Tablets for Dogs contain febantel, praziquantel and pyrantel embonate. Frontline Wormer Tablets for Cats contains praziquantel and pyrantel embonate.
