The Innocent Hound has launched two new products to help promote dog health.
Flea Repellent, a treat designed to help deter biting insects, contains neem, lemon balm and fenugreek, combined into an air-dried British beef treat.
Flea Repellent treats are available in two pack sizes – 150g, RRP £7.25 (30 days for a 10kg dog), and 600g, RRP £30 (120 days for a 10kg dog). For best results the treats should be fed daily throughout the summer months, the company recommends.
The second new product, Super Boost Topper, is a nutritious supplement to promote dog’s overall wellbeing. The blend of ingredients is designed to support the dog’s physical health and have a positive effect on their mood and behaviour.
Concentrating on four target areas, the topper supports gut microbiome and aids immunity with the inclusion of pre- and post-biotics; boswellia, glucosamine and chondroitin to support healthy joints; seaweed and citrus extract to help maintain oral hygiene; and hyaluronic acid to nourish skin.
Super Boost Topper comes in a 600g pouch, RRP £36, which should last a 10kg dog for 60 days. For best results the topper should be fed daily with one tablespoon per 10kg of dog’s weight per day.
Innocent Hound founder Chloe Heaton said: “We wanted to offer a natural, delicious, and chemical-free solution for keeping fleas and ticks away from our hounds. Adding effective ingredients into our new treat provides dogs with protection from biting insects, and is a great natural alternative to chemical treatments.
“Additionally, our Super Boost Topper is made with the finest ingredients, and we gently air-dry our products to maintain the nutrients and flavour. When sprinkled over the main meal it may also help encourage dogs to eat with not such a healthy appetite.”
