Burgess Pet Care has launched larger bags of two of its brands in the independent sector with an extra 20% product for the same price.
Excel Adult Rabbits and Guinea Pig Nuggets are now exclusively available for independent and wholesale customers in 1.8kg bags for the price of 1.5kg.
There is no change to the recipe, but the SKUs feature new barcodes.
Emily Watmough, trade marketing manager at Burgess Pet Care, said: “This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Burgess Excel range, so we’re really excited to launch our 1.8kg Burgess Excel Rabbit and Guinea Pig Nuggets exclusively for independent and wholesale retailers.
“Our Excel nuggets, which 92% of UK vets recommend, have been specifically produced to prevent selective feeding, which is linked to an increased risk of dental disease, obesity and gut stasis. At Burgess we are proud to be a muesli-free company and committed to keeping small pets happy and healthy.”
