Award-winning dog-friendly holiday company PetsPyjamas has appointed James Williams as managing director.
Joining PetsPyjamas from his former role as head of commercial at Culture Trip and part of the start-up team at Voyage Privé UK, Williams has been hired as the company embarks on an ambitious growth plan driven by the boom in the UK dog population.
PetsPyjamas co-founder and CEO Karen Hanton MBE said: "The canine population has grown massively since the first lockdown, with dogs earning their rightful place as key family members and being factored into holiday plans. PetsPyjamas has seen unprecedented growth in demand for dog-friendly getaways and we are delighted to have James on board to help us capitalise on this opportunity. James will bring huge value, adding over 20 years’ travel experience as well as his vision and drive to propel the business forward.”
Williams commented: “I am thrilled to be joining PetsPyjamas when the pet sector is becoming increasingly front and centre stage. As a dog owner myself, I can see the dog-friendly travel market is set for rapid expansion, and I look forward to navigating PetsPyjamas as we enter an exceptionally high growth and significant scale-up phase to capitalise on the lucrative hound pound.”
PetsPyjamas has been delighting furry friends and their owners since 2014, with getaways at thousands of hotels, cottages, country houses and B&Bs in the UK and abroad.
