Abi Purser with two guests
Abi Purser, founder of Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Group, has joined the board of directors of the Pet Industry Federation.
She says she is ‘delighted to have the chance to join the board and assist PIF in spearheading best practice and improving standards throughout the pet care sector’.
The Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Group is the vision of founder and cat lover, Abi, who said she recognised the demand for a higher standard of feline boarding in the UK.
The business, founded in 2010, has grown rapidly thanks to its revolutionary approach to cat boarding, placing animal welfare at its heart.
Abi will bring her expertise in animal welfare feline boarding, to her role on the PIF board.
HIGHEST STANDARD
“I am very excited about my new role on the PIF board,” she said. “I have always been passionate about giving animals and their owners the very highest standard of care. That’s what my business, Longcroft, is founded on and that’s why I’m pleased to be able to help shape the future of the petcare industry through my role on the board.
“It’s so important that we keep improving and advancing standards in the industry, as we all become more educated about animal welfare and the ways we can improve our customers’ experience.”
PIF’s membership comprises mostly small and medium-sized enterprises ranging from pet retailers, dog groomers, kennels & catteries to manufacturers, wholesalers and professional services.
Abi still runs her origibal boutique cat hotel in Welwyn Graden City, Hertfordshire today but now also runs a franchise business, currently comprising 21 Longcroft Cat Hotels in the UK.
