Pets whose owners work for the NHS, emergency services and in social care can get their paws on some exclusive pet food discounts by joining the Blue Light Collars scheme.
Brought to you from the team behind the frontline workers’ discount service the Blue Light Card, and launched in honour of National Pet Month (April 1 – May 3), the collars scheme offers a number of benefits.
These include 36% off at Pooch & Mutt, 80% off at Tails.com and 10% off at Akela Pet Foods.
To access the discounts, pet owners must hold a Blue Light Card.
Commenting on the launch, Tom Dalby, CEO of Blue Light Collars, said: “We know how important pets can be for our mental wellbeing, especially in difficult times like these where we can’t see friends and family.
“It’s important to recognise all key workers who have shown strength throughout the covid-19 pandemic and that goes for our furry friends too, who have gone above and beyond to offer their support to so many across the nation.
“We’ve worked closely with our partners to provide a selection of treats for our new furry members, from discounts on moreish dog biscuits to great toys, there’s something for our four-legged key workers of all sizes to say a big thank you for all they do.”
