Burns Pet Nutrition has launched a national TV and digital advertising campaign – at the same time unveiling its new tagline, ‘Natural Nutrition for Healthy Pets’.
The month-long campaign launched at the end of October across Sky and ITV, including during ITV’s ‘The Pet Show’, hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Joanna Page, and is supported by extensive digital activity.
The initiative was launched to help educate new dog owners about the central role nutrition plays in the overall health of dogs as well as to drive footfall into pet food stores.
Burns Pet Nutrition was launched in 1993 by veterinary surgeon John Burns, who saw the positive impact a natural diet could have on pets and developed Burns’ now award-winning range of products. Earlier this year the South Wales-based company rebranded several of its SKUs and launched sustainable packaging.
Burns Pet Nutrition founder John Burns said: “The pandemic has seen a record number of dogs in homes across the UK and brought about a whole new generation of dog owners. With so many people owning dogs for the first time, we want to make sure they feel confident about keeping them fit and healthy. No two dogs are the same and neither are their nutritional needs.
“Pet stores have been the backbone of the Burns business for almost 30 years. They play a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of dogs. The last 18 months have been incredibly challenging for physical retail. We want this campaign to drive people back through their doors.”
