Pet product distributor Trixie has set up a UK company to ensure reliability of supply in the wake of the Brexit agreement.
“The developments of the last few months following the Brexit agreement were and still are associated with many changes and challenges for EU and UK companies importing in or exporting from the UK,” said Trixie CEO Volker Haak.
“As a reliable partner on our customers’ side, we have constantly worked on solutions to ensure a fast supply of goods, offer a high level of customer service and keep administrative hurdles as low as possible. Unfortunately, it was not possible to succeed in all points.
IMPORTANT
“Our customers and our area sales managers in the UK are very important to us and we are delighted to announce that Trixie UK Pet Product Ltd has been founded. After almost 10 years of direct sales from the German headquarters, with our own sales team in the UK, this is a new milestone in the company’s history.
“With this step, we ensure the sustainable supply of goods of the 6,500 articles wide range to the UK – without additional administrative work with customs or authorities.
“Order processing and the despatch of goods will continue to be carried out via the logistics centre in Tarp, in Germany, and, of course, the Trixie area sales managers will also be available for customers as usual.”
Trixie is confident it will be able to ship goods to UK customers just as easily as in pre-Brexit times – without any additional effort for them. Deliveries will still distributed from Trixie’s German headquarters, but customs clearance etc will be handled by the UK company, so it is essentially intra-UK delivery for the customer.
