Earth Animal has become the latest brand to sign an exclusive UK distribution deal with Pedigree Wholesale.
The first range available through Pedigree is No-Hide, a rawhide alternative, which comes in four different sizes, for all breeds, and three flavours (Beef, Chicken and Salmon), with more flavours, including Venison and Peanut Butter, to come in the near future.
Award-winning Earth Animal, founded by Bob and Susan Goldstein, is already a proven success story in the US, with double-digit year-on-year growth for the last five years.
Steve Brown, managing director at Pedigree Wholesale, said: “With consumers becoming more and more conscious about their pet’s health and well-being, these chews outlast any other rawhide alternative I’ve seen and have been independently tested, showing up to 86% digestibility in eight hours.”
EXCITED
Gerard O’Mahony, commercial director at Pedigree Wholesale, added: “We’re excited about this one. Dr Bob and Susan have built a very successful business by sticking to a set of very strong core values that drive what they do. These values are brought to life in the No-Hide range and fit perfectly with the British dog lovers’ needs today and slot nicely into the growing dog chews and treats category in specialist pet.
“The products are natural and made from six simple ingredients that are ethically sourced from partner farmers and suppliers selectively chosen by the team at Earth Animal to ensure quality and standards are at their best.
SPECIALIST
“The team here have worked alongside Earth Animal to redesign the packaging and develop an offering that ensures the success in the USA will be repeated in the specialist pet market here in the UK.”
Earth Animal will launch in the UK at PATS Telford with introductory offers for both the retailer and their customers, including counter display units, free-standing display units and point-of-sale – all free of charge when ordering the range.
Sam Noble, international sales manager at Earth Animal, said: “Our sales in America have seen huge increases year on year including 60% growth in 2018. We can see that the UK pet parent is also looking out for similar product ranges and we’re confident that working with Pedigree we can help specialist pet retailers to meet this growing consumer demand.”
