Bark & Birch, which operates in the UK, Ireland and the USA, has opened an office in Brazil as it continues to grow rapidly across the globe.
The board-and-train model of Bark & Birch will be replicated in the city of Sao Paulo, and several dog day-care centres will open across the country with a large recruitment drive for office staff, trainers and members of staff.
Nick Rijniers, the 28-year-old CEO of Bark & Birch, has managed to lead the company to global success, turning over £6m in the second year of business.
Rijniers, who trained German Shepherd dogs in the Dutch Special Forces, started the company in 2019 in the UK with only two members of staff. It now has over 100 staff members globally and trains over 1,000 dogs a month.
He said: “What we have managed to achieve in two years is massive. We started from nothing and turned it into a global business, providing physical in-person services across multiple countries and cultures whilst going through a pandemic.
“The decision to launch our services across Brazil came quite naturally and was a logical step on our business growth strategy. We are very excited about this new market as we have already seen great success In the UK, Ireland, and US.”
