Irish Dog Foods has continued a winning streak by getting an award at the European Business Awards.
The company, based in Kildare, nabbed the Customer and Market Engagement title in the finals, held in Warsaw, Poland. The judges acknowledged the company’s successful global expansion, its ‘focused leadership and relentless product development aligned with brilliant commercialisation strategies’.
Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, said: “Irish Dog Foods has reached the gold standard for business excellence by winning this award. They are a powerful example of a business meeting the challenges of a hugely competitive global marketplace, achieving phenomenal success, and making a positive difference to the world we live in. They deserve their success and we wish them well.”
Earlier this month, Irish Dog Foods won the County Kildare Chamber International Trade Award and in November, it was a finalist for innovation in the Irish Exporter Association awards.
‘VERY SPECIAL’
For this latest award, the pet food and treats manufacturer was chosen from a pool of more than 150,000 businesses and went through a final face-to-face judging session. More than 500 business leaders from 33 European countries met for the two-day event.
Irish Dog Foods manufactures own-label and branded products for customers worldwide. MD Liam Queally said: “It’s an absolute honour to be recipient of this award; the fact that it is on European level makes it very special. It’s a great achievement, and acknowledges the hard work, commitment and results by all the team over the past number of years.”
Darren Keating, head of marketing, added: “We have been focused on recognising unmet needs in the marketplace and designing innovative products to meet these needs. The arrival of the pet parent has been something we have been monitoring and understanding, creating products that target this new and savvy consumer.”
