A cat was left needing a glucose drip after it mated with at least five females in a single night.
His owners, Mr and Mrs Zhao, left Xiaopi, a Russian Blue, at a pet hotel in South China’s Guangdong province.
Mr Zhao said he had told the hotel that Xiaopi had not been neutered.
But the next day, he discovered his pet had been left to freely roam the hotel after staff went home.
Mr Zhao wrote on social media: “Between around 10.40pm and 5am, my cat mated with five female cats – and those are only the ones I could see in the CCTV footage.”
Exhausted Xiaopi had to be put on a glucose drip after his eventful night.
Mr Zhao later said that the hotel apologised and offered to pay for Xiaopi’s fluid therapy.
“They’re going to compensate each pregnant cat’s owner and have promised to sell any kittens on their behalf,” he added.
Xiaopi has since regained his strength, reported the Daily Mail.
