Animal control officer Samantha Lane bought a stuffed purple unicorn for a stray dog she was called to remove from a department store in rural North Carolina in the US.
The dog slipped into the store ‘multiple times’ and grabbed the same toy each time and, after Samantha took the dog and the toy to the county animal shelter, he cuddled up with it as he awaited adoption.
