3P Enterprise has continued to operate throughout the coronavirus crisis and says demand has remained steady and is now picking up further as the worse of the panic-buying of food and consumables ends and pet-owners turn back to accessories.
Grant Rogers, managing director of 3P and founder of the Henry Wag brand, said: “With enforced closure of many shops and the restrictions on travel, the continuing threat of covid-19 and the uncertainty it brings is a huge challenge for us all, in both our business and private lives.
“But, as pet store owners and pet parents we are in a unique position in that we can continue to operate our businesses and legitimately spend time exercising and spending time with our fur babies.”
In the crisis to date, 3P Enterprise has been able to continue operating, supplying stores and wholesalers with the Henry Wag range. While there has been a big reduction in orders there has been a steady and continued demand for the range, particularly online.
PANIC-BUYING
Grants says consumers – going out with their dogs possibly more than normal due to the additional time they have – are focusing more on practical needs, with strong demand for the Store-Fresh dry food storage boxes and the cleaning and drying microfibre range.
Many larger online customers have been focusing on food and consumable products at the expense of accessories, but now – with the worst of the panic-buying now appearing to be over – they are once again listing the practical accessories dog owners need.
“A few weeks ago, we were considering postponing shipments from our China factories, but slow steady demand has continued,” he said. “I believe that we may see a spike in demand as store owners look to reinvest in accessories as things begin to improve.”
There have been no further delays in moving goods from China to the UK and deliveries will arrive at in May and June to fulfil this demand.
