Ancol Pet Products will be exhibiting at PATS Telford for the first time this autumn, as the industry exhibition gears up to hold its much-anticipated face-to-face event.
Well-known within the pet industry, Ancol is celebrating its 50th anniversary in September and has promised some ‘exciting surprises’ on its stand at the PATS Telford show, which takes place on September 26-27.
Ancol’s product manager, Tom Gwilliam, said: “The company is ready to help its customers and the trade to bounce back from a difficult period.
“Ancol is looking forward to seeing friends, customers and business partners at PATS Telford in September, and has some exciting surprises ready to celebrate its 50th birthday, which takes place that month.”
The coronavirus pandemic put a halt to ‘live’ trade exhibitions around the world, with PATS Sandown in February 2020 being the last in-person pet industry event to take place in the UK.
Now, after more than a year without live shows, bookings for the UK’s number one pet industry exhibition are gathering pace with more than 110 companies already booked to take a stand.
Other industry-leading exhibitors who have committed to September’s PATS Telford showpiece can’t wait for a return of the ‘live’ show.
Rob Newsome, director of sales and operations at Danish Design Pet Products, said: “Our customers tell us that they want to see, touch and feel our products to fully appreciate the quality and design. Live trade shows are so important and really enable us to tell the story behind our products and the Danish Design brand. We can’t wait.”
It’s a similar story for Henry Bell and its brands Mr Johnson’s and Dog Gone Fishin’. Business manager Alan Gittins said: “We are really excited to be exhibiting at PATS Telford as our industry thrives on the face-to-face interaction. We’re looking forward to sharing the new products we’ve launched as well as having the opportunity to meet new and existing retailers to discuss the way forward for our businesses.”
Since Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced in February how the UK would emerge from lockdown, including the resumption of indoor and outdoor events from the 17th May (with limits on capacity), preparations for PATS Telford have gathered pace.
Visitors to the show will be able to see an unrivalled array of products in the New Products Showcase, sponsored by pbwnews, watch demonstrations from the country’s leading dog groomers and listen to talks from prominent industry figures.
The prestigious PetQuip Awards, which recognise outstanding achievements within the pet industry, will also be taking place during PATS Telford on the evening of the first day.
