Family-owned pet food manufacturer Burgess Pet Care is to officially launch a new complete food for neutered cats at PATS Telford on Sunday and Monday.
The Yorkshire company says it has created Burgess Neutered Cat using ‘an advanced high-protein recipe that meets the specific dietary needs of neutered cats, with Stay-C inclusion for added dental defence’. It is suitable for all ages of neutered cats and available in two pack sizes at ‘one of the most accessible price points on the market’.
Nicole Fallon, senior brand manager at Burgess, said: “There are many benefits to neutering cats but the lifestyle and diet of neutered cats must be closely managed. Veterinary research suggests that they need an estimated 20% fewer calories and are at an increased risk of developing urinary tract infections, hairballs and weight gain.
