Butcher’s and Whiskas have been honoured as the winners of the dog and cat food categories at the recent Product of the Year awards.
Butcher’s Healthy Heart was given the accolade for best dog food in the poll, which is organised by Kantar and collated with votes from a panel of 8,000 UK consumers. Running for the 20th year in the UK, it is the largest survey of product innovation in the country, say the organisers.
Natasha Bryant, senior brand manager at Butcher’s, said: “Healthy Heart is our most exciting NPD to date providing an affordable, everyday natural meal to support a dogs heart health.
“So much hard work over a long period of time went into developing this product, so I am absolutely delighted that it has won Product of the Year that has been recognised by consumers.”
The award for best cat food went to Whiskas new Pouch Reset range.
