As part of its growth, training and behaviour specialists the Company of Animals is consolidating its UK distribution channels ‘to deliver greater efficiencies and more focused marketing activity’.
It is now working with Pedigree, Best Pets, Trilanco and Trust Pet Products, along with a number of specialist regional partners.
Company of Animals will also work with NVS, Centaur and Covetrus for the veterinary market.
The last 12 months have seen Company of Animals celebrate 40 years of trading and build its product portfolio with new additions including the Halti No Pull Harness, Halti Double Ended Lead, Halti Head Collar, and Baskerville Ultra Muzzle.
Last year, the business updated its brand design, creating a fresh new look and enhancing the communication of product features and benefits to consumers.
In parallel the product packaging has been overhauled, alongside improvements within the logistics department – all contributing to an improvement on the company’s environmental impact.
Commercial director Nick Hucker said: “As we close out our 40th trading year, we are continuing to innovate in every aspect of our business.
“By consolidating and optimising our wholesaler operations with strategic partners, we will deliver an enhanced experience to the end consumer, irrespective of the sales channel they choose to engage with our products via.
“Through our national wholesale partnerships, we aim to continue to further develop the marketing support, resources and product selections we offer our trade customers.
“With several new product launches planned for 2020 we are committed to working with our selected wholesalers to deliver industry leading marketing initiatives and campaigns into the new year and beyond.”
