A British dog trainer has started a project to independently review all dog harnesses on the market.
Ali Smith, the founder of Rebarkable and now based in the US, has made it her mission to bring her clients and the wider population the best information on harnesses. She will review as many harnesses as possible from all brands in order to provide the public with advice based on actual experience.
Ali’s rankings, under the banner Best Dog Harnesses, ranks y-shaped harnesses from suppliers across the globe, covering both small companies and big brands.
With 13 million dogs in the UK and 85 million in the US, Ali decided it was important that a professional trainer gives insights into the huge variety of harnesses on the market to help pet parents decide what was best for them and their dogs.
She said: “I was really tired of so many sites claiming to be ‘2022’s best dog harnesses’ where the writer had clearly never even seen one in person, let alone had their dog wear it. I feel like too many of these ‘lists’ prioritise affiliate commission and not quality, which is totally unfair to dog parents.”
