Company of Animals owner Roger Mugford
The Company of Animals’ Halti range has once again been named Brand of the Year at the Animalis Edition of the World Branding Awards, which took place in the historic Hofburg Palace in Vienna.
More than 800 brands from 35 countries were nominated for the Animalis awards this year, with 60,000 consumers from around the globe participating in the voting process.
The judging process used to identify the winning brands is made up of 30% brand valuation, 30% public online voting and 40% consumer market research. The Halti range won Brand of the Year for Apparel and Accessories – Harnesses.
The Halti headcollar was the world’s first of its type, invented by Company of Animals founder, Dr Roger Mugford in 1984. The brand has extended to other accessories for walking dogs including collars, leads, harnesses and activity leads.
Roger, owner of Company of Animals, was in Vienna to collect the award and said: “We’re delighted to have once again been recognised by The World Branding Forum and feel honoured to accept this accolade. The Halti headcollar was invented to help make walking the dog a more enjoyable experience, for both pet and owner.
“The Halti brand continues to grow to such an extent that a Halti-branded item is purchased by someone, somewhere in the world, on average every minute of the day. We are proud to market this award-winning product and will continue to share the benefits of Halti to a worldwide market.”
