Nine in 10 dog owners believe it is important they can communicate with their dogs and say their pets are good at signalling what they want, according to new research.
The study, conducted by pet treats brand Pet Munchies, revealed that 58% of dogs chose to stare at their owners or nudged to make physical contact, while 7% usually stole something to get attention. Food was the thing dogs wanted to communicate about the most.
Pet Munchies also asked dog owners what question they would ask their dog if their dog could answer and, ‘Can I (or we) do anything to make you happier?’ came out on top.
