Direct Food Ingredients has chosen Cheshire-based Ruby’s Fund as its 2019 charity of the year.
The Macclesfield ingredients specialist continued its annual initiative of supporting a local charitable organisation and discovered the work of Ruby’s Fund.
The charity runs a number of supportive services, including an inclusive sensory centre and social café for children and young adults with additional needs and disabilities. The charity also supports families, carers and friends, ensuring a safe, fun, stimulating environment is available to all.
As part of the company’s charitable efforts, the Direct Food Ingredients team dropped off a gift of Easter eggs for the children and their families who use the facilities.
Managing director Steve Loake said: “We understand how important the services of Ruby’s Fund are to local families. Their work to maximise every child’s potential is truly remarkable and we are extremely excited about the prospect of generating extra funds for such an incredible organisation. Here at Direct Food Ingredients, we will be hosting our own fund-raising events, as well as supporting Ruby’s Fund’s own initiatives.”
