Yorkshire pet food manufacturer The Innocent Hound is supporting dog rescue charities this Christmas by donating over 300kg of treats to charities nominated by customers.
The company has distributed 10 silver envelopes at random with website orders. The customers receiving them can then nominate a UK dog rescue charity to receiveĀ a box of treats in time for Christmas.
The Innocent Hound operates a zero-treat waste policy, with any leftover production ingredients used to create grain-free, meaty treats, which are donated to rescue charities. The policy has enabled the company to donate over 1,000kg of food in the past year
Founder Chloe Heaton said: āWasting this food is not an option for us. At a time when dog rescues are struggling so much, we are delighted to be able to help them in any way we can.ā
