Lintbells has changed the name of its YuMEGA range of skin supplements to YuDERM to make it clearer what the product is for.
After extensive focus groups and a survey of 1,500 consumers, both veterinary professionals and regular users, Lintbells found that people preferred ‘a brand name that does what it says on the tin’.
Gemma Cunningham, campaigns and communications manager at Lintbells, said: “The product is still the same tried-and-tested product our customers trust and love, but, by changing the name to YuDERM, we wanted to ensure that our customers would clearly understand how the products will help their pets.
“When the focus groups suggested names that clearly demonstrated the brand’s aim, we knew the name YuDERM was the perfect solution. YuDERM was viewed as a brand that specialised in ensuring dogs and cats skin, coat and nails remained healthy.”
The packaging has also been redesigned and will now be available in a pump bottle that offers easy dispensing to ensure the correct daily amount is applied to food, based on the size of the dog.
