British pet grooming supplies manufacturer Mutneys has joined forces with three industry specialists to give customers the benefit of their international expertise.
The trio of dog grooming experts will be working with Mutneys Professional Pet Care as brand ambassadors sharing the latest tips and techniques on the Mutneys’ website and trialling new products.
The three brand ambassadors are creative grooming specialist Vikki Pearman, experienced groomer and business owner Lorraine Mottershead and animal behaviour expert Millie Beddows.
Mutneys director Stephanie Roberts said the company was ‘really excited’ about working with the three specialists.
“They will be our eyes and ears on the ground, helping us to keep up to date with all the latest techniques,” she said. “They’ll also be passing on their tips and tricks of the trade and helping us to test and develop any new products.”
Vikki Pearman has been running her dog grooming business, Pedigrees N Pooches, for more than 15 years and said creative styling was her passion.
She won first place in her first creative grooming competition in 2014 and now runs the British Creative Dog Grooming Championships as well as publishing the UK’s only creative styling book.
Her aim is to promote better public awareness of safe creative dog grooming both inside and outside the industry.
“I’m very excited to be asked to be Mutneys creative grooming ambassador. It’s something I am very passionate about and if I can inspire and help anyone to have a go at creative grooming, that will be amazing,” she said.
Lorraine Mottershead has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, starting
dog grooming in 1988 and opening her first salon, Canine Care, in 1996. She joined forces with her business partner, Karen, in 2000 to launch the Canine Care & Co salon in 2000.
“I have a love of grooming wool coats, especially poodles and bichons. I also love the cross breeds and salon styles,” she said.
The third member of the team, Millie Beddows, decided to turn her childhood love of animals into a career in dog grooming.
She spent several years managing large salons before opening her own business, Groom at No. 1, where she has put her extensive knowledge of animal handling and animal behaviour to full use.
“My love of dogs is apparent in the way I groom – I treat all dogs that come into my salon as if they are my own,” she said.
Stephanie said the three ambassadors would bring a wealth of experience and new skills to the Mutneys team.
“And on top of all that they’ll also be helping to train our team keeping our grooming knowledge up to date,” she said.
