Pet care was the leading contributor to organic growth for Nestlé in the first half of the year, according to the food giant’s latest results.
In the six months to June 30, 2023, Purina PetCare brands Purina One, Purina Pro Plan and Friskies all recorded double-digit growth. This compares to single-digit growth for the company’s coffee and dairy divisions, with double-digit growth recorded for confectionery.
Across the company as a whole, organic growth was stated as 8.7%, while price inflation was 9.5%.
